Smoking a joint is the equivalent to having a beer. It’s not like when people are stoned they do crazy shit or stab ppl and go nuts. It just chills you out. It’s harmless and depending on the type of weed sometimes it has no effect on the human body. So what the people that are bashing him/them are saying is, if brendon walked out with a beer or glass of wine you’d look down on them? think them disrespectful? really? calm the fuck down. It’s not like they were wasted or totally fucked in the head. Weed is not cocaine or heroin. It is not a serious mind altering drug. The fact that it is legal in many parts of the world and used for medical purposes should say enough about it. It has been on the california bill and others to be legalized. Do u think that would happen with any other drug? no. You really need to take a step back and think about what you’re saying because frankly you’re coming off as immature, ignorant, overly sensitive little shits.
ALSO i can’t believe this discussion is actually happening again. Have none of u listened to pretty odd? Have u not seen brendons guitar strap with the pot leaves on it he’s been using since 07? How about the “go green” shirt he’s worn? or Jon and Zack talking about legalizing marijuana on twitter? Honestly. Are u that out of touch and unaware? This band, past and present members, have NEVER told you they were against marijuana or never lied to you about not using it. They have never done or said anything to make you believe they didn’t do it. Lastly, they are young, they’re in a band, they were in fucking Amsterdam people. do you not KNOW of how many college kids get stoned with their friends at parties every weekend? Weed is nothing shocking for anyone to be doing, especially not a young rock band for christ sake. Majority of your parents probably tried it at least once when they were young. SO CHILL THE FUCKING FUCK OUT AND STOP EMBARRASSING YOURSELVES.
